Pharmacological effects of phellinus linteus extract

Antitumor effect

In recent years, the prevention and treatment of tumors has become the focus of attention at home and abroad. Tumor cells attack the human immune system, which will reduce the defense ability of the immune system and even endanger life. The polysaccharide active components in Phellinus linteus have obvious inhibitory effect on anti-tumor, and there are a lot of reports on its anti-tumor research. Studies by Yu Caiyun and others showed that the anti-tumor effect of Phellinus linteus polysaccharides was determined according to the growth of tumors in the mice with liver cancer cells by using low-dose, medium-dose and high-dose Phellinus linteus extracts to inoculate H22 liver cancer cells by gavage every day. The results showed that the three extracts of Phellinus linteus mycelium polysaccharide, fruiting body polysaccharide and fermentation broth polysaccharide had strong antitumor activity. Che Huilian et al. used different Phellinus linteus extracts on transplanted tumors and found that Phellinus linteus extracts could significantly inhibit tumor growth. Shon et al. showed that polysaccharides in Phellinus linteus culture medium and mycelium can be used as chemopreventive agents to mutagenize cells and inhibit tumor growth. Tao Yuling et al. found that the use of different concentrations of Phellinus linteus had an inhibitory effect on the proliferation of gastric cancer SGC-7901 cells cultured in vitro. Zhang Min et al. established mouse models of liver cancer, sarcoma and lung cancer, and found that Phellinus linteus polysaccharides had a significant inhibitory effect on mouse tumors.

Anti-oxidize effect

The active ingredients of Phellinus linteus have good antioxidant effects, especially in anti-aging. Wang Kai et al. found that the mycelial polysaccharide PL-N of Phellinus linteus has a certain protective effect on nerve cells damaged by hydrogen peroxide through in vitro antioxidant model studies. Phellinus flavonoids have strong reducibility and the ability to capture free radicals. Therefore, Phellinus flavonoids can play an antioxidant effect by preventing the generation of free radicals and scavenging free radicals. According to calculation of hydroxyl radical scavenging rate, Cui Shiyao et al. found that Phellinus linteus polysaccharides have strong antioxidant capacity. Li Yiming et al. by extracting Phellinus linteus polysaccharides, intragastric administration of cyclophosphamide (CP) to traumatized mice, and observed its effects on superoxide dismutase activity and malondialdehyde mass fraction in serum and liver tissue of mice. Flavobacterium polysaccharide can significantly increase the activity of SOD in mouse serum and liver tissue, reduce the mass fraction of MDA, and has anti-lipid peroxidation effect. In addition, Phellinus linteus has strong Fe3+ reducing ability, indicating that its in vitro antioxidant ability and scavenging ability of oxygen free radicals are strong.

Hypoglycemic effect

Phellinus linteus polysaccharide active ingredients can effectively help patients lower blood sugar. Kim et al. fed type I diabetic rats with Phellinus linteus polysaccharide, and the results showed that it effectively reduced the blood sugar of the affected rats. Liao Zunsheng used the alloxan mouse hyperglycemia model and fed Phellinus linteus polysaccharide to find that it has obvious hypoglycemic effect on mice. Zhang Bao et al. administered high dose, medium dose and low dose of Phellinus Phellinus polysaccharide to male Kunming mice by gavage. The hypoglycemic effect of mycelial polysaccharide was higher than that of the middle-dose and low-dose groups.

Bacteriostatic effect

Phellinus linteus mycelium was found to have a strong antibacterial effect, which may be due to the high content of flavonoids in the Phellinus linteus mycelium product, or it may be related to the mycelium extracellular enzyme activity in the Phellinus linteus fermentation broth. It is related, or related to some antibiotic substances produced by the mycelium breakage in the fermentation broth, but the antibacterial activity and antibacterial mechanism of various products in the fermentation broth of Phellinus linteus mycelium need to be further studied. Yang Shudong et al. used steam distillation extraction method and ether reflux extraction method to obtain Phellinus linteus volatile oil, which has inhibitory effect on Aspergillus niger, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans. Wang Qinbo et al. found that the water extract of Phellinus linteus fruit body has antibacterial effect, and has different inhibitory effects on Gram-negative bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria, mold and so on.
